Politics and theatre – how are they connected? 

(Maribor, Slovenia, 10th September 2007)

Between September 11th and September 26th, international theatre festival EX PONTO, in organization of B-51, will take place in Ljubljana. The festival will offer a wide variety of performances by creators from Macedonia, Germany, Italy, Egypt, Montenegro, Russia, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Poland and Slovenia. Leading theme of this year's festival is politics and theatre, actually relation between politics and culture. SPEM Communication Group, by being one of the sponsors of this festival, is supporting cultural events in the country. 

The opening performance Tito - Certain Diagrams of Desire will be on 11th September, in Križanke, in Ljubljana. This will be Slovenian premiere of the play that was first time performed on 31st March this year in Bitola. Three young directors from Macedonia created the performance: Dejan Damjanovski, Martin Kočovski and Dejan Porikovski. Slobodan Schneider wrote the text. Theatre spectacle with 50 artists has developed in co-operation of more co producers. Two of them are Festival Ljubljana and EX PONTO.
