(Maribor, Slovenia, April 19th, 2006.)

An unforgettable party will be given in the framework of the fourth International Conference on Communication Practice Portorož 2006, which is to take place at the Conference Centre of Grand hotel Metropol in Portorož between 18th and 19th May 2006. Following the educational part of the first day of the conference will be an optional excursion aboard a 37-metre long ship LAHO. With a name deriving from abbreviation for LAst HOpe, LAHO is a Dutch-made vessel and a genuine “old-timer”, produced more than a century ago. Yet, there will be more to the event than a three-hour panoramic tour along the Slovenian coast. A seafood dinner served with exquisite selection of beverages and good music will be offered to all of the embarked. Moreover, all the unstoppable will be able to take their chance at the Casino Portorož gambling house after the cruise.

Of course, the variegated parallel social events will only be a supplement to an excellent conference programme, which includes a number of worldwide known lecturers and business communication experts such as Simon Quarendon, Secretary General of the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO), Volker Weber, PR advisor and lecturer at the Deuscher Academie für Public Relations, Marko Kryžanowski, CEO of Petrol, Ross Bethell, founder of Bethell Associates, a London-based strategic communication consultancy, Žiga Debeljak, CEO of Mercator Group, and others. The main topic of this year's conference, organised under the auspices of the Slovene PR Agencies Association (ZOJS) and the London School of Public Relations (LSPR), will be the issue of »Business-centred Communication«.

Further information on the conference as well as a detailed program and application form are available on: www.portoroz-conference.com.
