Several Renowned Lecturers Participating at the International Conference on Communication Practice in Portorož
Business-centred Communication
(Maribor, Slovenia, April 3rd, 2006.)
The fourth International Conference on Communication Practice Portorož 2006, organised by the London School of Public Relations (LSPR) and the Slovene PR Agencies Association (ZOJS), will traditionally take place at Grand hotel Metropol in Portorož between 18th and 19th May 2006. The main topic of this year's conference will be the issue of »Business-centred Communication«, which will be discussed by numerous domestic and foreign experts including Simon Quarendon, Secretary General of the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO), Volker Weber, PR advisor at Volker Weber Consulting and lecturer at the Deuscher Academie für Public Relations, Marko Kryžanowski, CEO of Petrol, Ross Bethell, founder of Bethell Associates, a London-based strategic communication consultancy, Žiga Debeljak, CEO of Mercator Group, and others.
On Thursday, 18th May 2006, a series of thematic lectures will take place, shedding light on the reasons for the companies’ and communicators’ increasing observation of business objectives during corporate communication planning, and the ways in which communication affects sales, creates brand value and influences market value of an organisation. Following will be a discussion on synergies and conflicts between communicating and attaining business goals. The debate will be led by Božidar Novak, Chairman of ZOJS and Director of SPEM Communication Group, and participated by guest managers and communicators. The program for Friday, 19th May 2006, will be devoted to the Slovene PR Agencies Association (ZOJS). Five Slovenian PR agencies – Studio 3S, Imelda Ogilvy, Studio Kernel, Informa Echo and SPEM Communication Group – will present their most successful projects.
